The movie portrays how the medium José Arigó, through the Spirit of Dr. Fritz, a German physician who died during World War I, became a beacon of hope for millions of sick people worldwide. Zé Arigó, as he was known, was born in the small town of Congonhas do Campo, in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil, where spiritual work was performed freely.
